For the past several years, marginalized communities have been fighting for authentic representation in the entertainment industry. The fight for inclusion is admirable and necessary. However, as we have seen & experienced, Jewish voices have been excluded from these inclusion efforts.
Though Jewish people have been at the forefront of the entertainment industry - Jewish representation has been narrow, iconic Jewish figures are regularly played by non-Jewish actors, and Jewish stories are predominantly directed by Jewish men.
As the paradigm shifts, I am excited to contribute to a new reality - wherein more Jewish women take the lead!
The Jewish Queen Initiative
This initiative is multi-pronged:
Encourage new Jewish voices to take charge of their own careers
Mentor Jewish Queens on their journey to crowdfund independent art
Create and / or partner with an incubator to cultivate & uplift emerging voices
Collaborate on film & theater projects led by Jewish women
Establish a pipeline for new Jewish women - led stories to reach global audiences
